Outside Sales Business Logistics Development

About the role

This position focuses on generating new business revenue and expanding existing house accounts within the logistics sector. The successful candidate will prospect, qualify and close deals while ensuring high levels of client service and satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation.
• Prepare tenders, reports and presentations; approve rates for various customer types.
• Analyse client needs, propose Rhenus‑specific logistics solutions and close sales.
• Maintain continuous follow‑up on pending opportunities and provide after‑sales support.
• Manage and retain client relationships at all levels, delivering professional service.
• Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets for Rhenus services and product lines.
• Handle internal administrative processes and attend relevant meetings.
• Stay updated on product knowledge, competition and market trends.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent certification; BCom in Logistics preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years sales experience, preferably within the logistics industry.
• Proven track record of meeting or surpassing sales targets.
• Ability to operate at senior management or board level.
