About the role

The Outbound Agent will generate new business for Icebolethu Group by cold‑calling prospects and selling funeral assurance products. The role is commission‑based and requires a proactive, customer‑focused approach to meet sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell funeral assurance policies to new and existing clients.
• Handle client queries and resolve complaints within agreed service levels.
• Execute customer retention strategies to maintain and grow the client base.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure proper administrative processes.
• Proactively call clients to restructure, retain, or resell existing policies.
• Ensure compliance with FAIS and FSCA regulations.
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Negotiate with clients for contract renewals and policy retention.

Required profile

• Matric/Grade 12 (minimum); tertiary qualification advantageous.
• 1‑2 years experience in sales, customer service or field operations.
• Experience in funeral assurance, insurance or financial services preferred.
• Computer literate with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Clear credit and criminal record.

Required skills

• Proven sales ability including cross‑selling and upselling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong negotiation and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Honest, reliable and ethical conduct.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
