About the role
A dynamic and expanding optometry franchise is looking for a dedicated Optometrist to join its team in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The role offers flexibility to work across rural practices and provides essential eye care to a diverse patient base. The position is permanent and open to candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests
- Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribing treatments or making referrals
- Advise patients on eyewear selection, lens options and contact lenses
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Stay current with the latest developments in optometry
Required profile
- Optometry degree and HPCSA registration
- Updated CPD points
- Passion for eye care and strong clinical skills
- Excellent communication skills and proactive, self-motivated attitude
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Valid driver's licence
