Operations Specialist – .NET Software Developer

About the role

Responsible for developing and supporting complex .NET applications and functions primarily in the financial system and ERP solutions. The role involves designing, coding, and debugging software while continuously improving the performance of existing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Apply and monitor modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards effectively.
• Create well‑documented, reusable assets within the developer solutions architecture.
• Assess and advise on the practicability of alternatives, balancing technical limits with operational realities.
• Improve performance of existing software and stay abreast of technological developments.
• Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications and integrate third‑party programs.
• Verify, deploy, troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software components.
• Gather and evaluate user feedback, prioritize tasks and execute throughout the software development life cycle.
• Review, test and debug team members' code and maintain documentation.

Required profile

• 3+ years of .NET development experience (or 5+ years as an alternative).
• Degree/Diploma/National Diploma in Information Technology (NQF 6) or Grade 12 (NQF 4).
• Professional membership in a relevant industry body (preferred).
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
