Operations Manager - Quick Loans

About the role

Our client, a growing financial services organisation, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the Quick Loans division. You will own day‑to‑day operations, drive portfolio growth and ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the micro‑lending business.
• Grow and manage a profitable loan portfolio while monitoring performance and risk.
• Implement operational efficiency and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with the National Credit Act, National Credit Regulator and internal policies.
• Oversee collections, bad‑debt recovery and operational controls.
• Collaborate with the finance team for accurate reporting.
• Mentor and manage the Quick Loan Administrator.
• Identify new business opportunities and support customer growth.
• Produce operational and management reports for senior leadership.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting or related financial qualification.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in financial services, lending or credit.
• Experience in micro‑lending is highly advantageous.
• Previous supervisory or team‑leadership experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and a proactive, hands‑on management style.
