Operations & Maintenance Engineer – Solar PV

About the role

The role involves operating, monitoring and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) plants to ensure optimal performance, safety and regulatory compliance. You will work on‑site at various locations, supporting both routine and project‑driven activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on solar PV systems.
• Monitor plant performance using SCADA and other monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, performance data and spare‑parts inventory.
• Support plant upgrades, modifications and performance‑improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years of experience in solar PV operations and maintenance.
• Experience with SCADA systems and performance‑monitoring tools.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to multiple sites.
