Operations & Logistics Assistant

About the role

Escavox is seeking a reliable and organised Operations & Logistics Assistant to support its cold‑chain intelligence platform. Based in Tyger Valley, Cape Town, you will ensure tracking devices are prepared, dispatched, recovered and maintained to the highest standard while delivering exceptional service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, test and configure tracking devices before dispatch, performing battery, connectivity and firmware checks.
• Identify, troubleshoot and report device faults or irregularities.
• Pack customer orders according to company procedures and coordinate courier collections and deliveries.
• Track outbound and returned shipments and coordinate device recoveries with customers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for devices, packaging and operational supplies.
• Replenish stock between the office and off‑site storage facility and procure operational supplies as needed.
• Assist in keeping the operational workspace clean, organised and safe.
• Perform any other reasonable operational duties within the scope of the role.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• 2–3 years experience in logistics, inventory management or a similar operational role.
• Computer literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Comfortable using smartphones, mobile applications and computer software.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and contribute positively within a small team.
• Physically able to lift and carry boxed equipment (up to 3 kg).
• Valid South African driver’s licence and reliable personal transport; occasional travel reimbursed.
