About the role

Thembisile Hani Local Municipality is seeking qualified candidates for several permanent positions across its Finance Services, Municipal Manager’s Office, Corporate Services and Technical Services departments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform revenue inspection, manage receipts, reconcile bank transactions and supervise staff (Assistant Manager – Revenue).
• Provide front‑line customer service, handle account queries and issue statements (Customer Service Clerk).
• Advise council on legal matters, draft contracts and by‑laws, and manage litigation (Chief Legal Officer).
• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plant equipment, control pumps and monitor process parameters (Senior Operator WWTW).

Required profile

• Grade 12 plus relevant tertiary qualification (National Diploma, BTech, LLB or Mechanical Engineering).
• Minimum 1–8 years of relevant experience depending on the role.
• Computer literacy in MS Office; valid driving licence for technical positions.
