About the role

Liberty is seeking a dedicated Specialist to manage onboarding operations for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Based in Johannesburg, this role ensures clients receive a world‑class onboarding experience driven by efficient, high‑performing operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and direct the daily activities of the onboarding operations teams, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
• Drive optimal performance by setting clear objectives and monitoring progress against key performance indicators.
• Champion an exceptional onboarding experience for all clients, meeting their needs with professionalism and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to streamline operations.
• Ensure all onboarding activities comply with banking regulations and relevant compliance frameworks.
• Provide guidance, coaching and development opportunities to team members, fostering a learning culture.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation to align efforts and deliver effective service.

Required profile

• Advanced Diploma in Business Commerce or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in Service Management and Operations within the financial services sector.
• 5‑7 years of experience with advanced banking regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in client services or support with strong technical expertise in client onboarding.
• Experience with a Linked Investment Service Provider (LISP) platform is advantageous.
