Occupational Health Practitioner Locum Talent Pool

About the role

Discovery Health Care Services is building a Locum Talent Pool of Occupational Health Practitioners to provide flexible, on‑site health services for its national client base. As a locum OHP you will support employee health, safety compliance and wellness across a variety of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑employment, baseline, periodic, transfer, exit and return‑to‑work medical assessments.
• Perform medical surveillance and biological monitoring in line with identified workplace hazards.
• Assess fitness for work, recommend accommodations and monitor occupational diseases.
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations.
• Participate in workplace risk assessments, hazard identification and corrective action planning.
• Manage occupational injuries and illnesses, coordinate treatment, rehabilitation and return‑to‑work processes.
• Design and deliver workplace wellness and health‑promotion initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified medical practitioner with experience in occupational health.
• Familiarity with OHSA, occupational health legislation and best practices.
• Ability to work independently across diverse client sites.
