Occupational Health Nurse – Full‑time (24 hrs/week)

About the role

Life Healthcare Group is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse for a permanent, 24‑hour‑per‑week position at its occupational health clinic in the Hammanskraal, Babelegi area. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality occupational and primary health services to employees.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an Occupational Health programme that promotes physical, psychological and social well‑being of workers.
• Monitor employee health status through ongoing surveillance programmes in line with SOPs.
• Provide information to clients for eliminating, controlling and minimising health risks and hazards.
• Coordinate emergency procedures and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
• Work within budget and manage smooth administration of all service aspects.
• Deliver high‑quality primary health‑care services and maintain, calibrate, and control clinic equipment.
• Ensure accurate, confidential filing of employee information.
• Support continuous improvement and added value for client satisfaction.

Required profile

• General Nursing qualification and Occupational Health Nursing B Tech/Diploma.
• 2–3 years post‑graduation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) and an additional Occupational Health Nursing qualification on the current SANC receipt.
• Sound knowledge of occupational and primary health‑care services.
• Certificates in dispensing, spirometry, audiometry (with SASOHN registration), vision screening and current Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Computer literacy and experience in administration and employee relations.
