Nursing Practitioner

About the role

Clicks Group is looking for a Nursing Practitioner for its clinic at Clicks Fountains Mall. The role promotes and delivers professional, commercially viable and high-quality clinic services in line with company guidelines and in compliance with South African Nursing Council regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a commercially viable clinic in line with company guidelines
• Provide lifestyle management screening tests, Well Baby clinics (immunisations and baby health monitoring), reproductive health services, adult immunisations and primary health care such as minor ailments and wound care
• Render a phlebotomy service
• Compile professional, stock and financial management reports
• Manage medical waste, adverse events and emergencies, and counsel patients on health information and weight management, referring them to pharmacists and other health professionals when appropriate
• Plan and implement Health Days and other projects, and develop health professional networks

Required profile

• Registration as a Professional Nurse
• 3-year nursing diploma or 4-year degree (Bachelor's or National Diploma)
• At least 3 years of practical experience in a broad range of nursing disciplines, preferably community health, primary health and midwifery
• Ability to keep patient information secure, confidential and accurate electronically, and to manage clinic stock, equipment and the cold chain
• Financial and commercial acumen, and ability to arrange locums

Required skills

• MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); Unisolv and Allegra preferred
• Administration, reporting and time management
• Competencies in teamwork, planning, organising, networking and following procedures
