National Veterinary Services Manager - Poultry

About the role

Ceva is looking for a National Veterinary Services Manager for its poultry business unit in Johannesburg. Reporting to the Poultry Business Unit Manager, the role implements and adapts the Veterinary Services Strategy locally, drives technical excellence and supports Marketing, Customer Services and Sales teams across the Business Unit.

Key responsibilities

• Product leadership: build internal and external confidence in Ceva's product portfolio, co-develop local Business Plans for Key Accounts aligned to Global and Zone strategy, align veterinary activities with corporate and marketing strategies, gather and relay local technical data, publish technical articles with local data
• Customer relationships and market penetration: build strong relationships with key customers, conduct regular Key Customer visits and consultations, take part in Key Account discovery, and help the sales team grow market share
• Customer guidance and technical advice: respond promptly to troubleshooting needs, provide technical and scientific advice to customers and sales personnel, and deliver expert diagnoses
• Training and education: attend corporate training and industry events, develop and run Veterinary Services Training Plans and technical training programmes for Key Customers
• Feedback and reporting: design and manage customer trials, gather insights from specialists and customers, share market intelligence, and report on monitoring protocols and trial results
• Scientific expertise and networking: build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and influencers, act as subject matter expert on range-related diseases for local Marketing and Sales teams
• Team management: lead, develop and manage the local Veterinary Services team as required
