National Specialised Electrical Project Manager

About the role

The National Specialised Electrical Project Manager will proactively identify and secure upcoming electrical projects across South Africa. By building strong relationships with contractors, developers and consulting engineering firms, you will influence specifications early and position Voltex products as preferred solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage and maintain relationships with consulting engineers, contractors and developers to create a pipeline of pre‑tender projects in commercial, industrial, reticulation and infrastructure sectors.
• Present technical solutions and value‑engineered alternatives to optimise project outcomes and ensure product specification.
• Prepare competitive tender and technical submissions, aligning them with project requirements and sales targets.
• Provide expert guidance on LV/MV distribution, industrial control and energy‑efficient solutions, answering technical queries from clients and contractors.
• Maintain accurate records of project pipelines, stakeholder interactions and market activity; report on status, risks and opportunities.

• Strong networking and relationship‑building ability with engineering and construction stakeholders.
• High initiative, commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and influencing capabilities.
• Ability to identify and develop opportunities at the pre‑tender stage.

Required skills

• Low‑Voltage (LV) and Medium‑Voltage (MV) distribution systems.
• Industrial control systems and energy‑efficient solutions.
• Interpretation of technical drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and specifications.
• Knowledge of South African National Standards (SANS) and client specifications.
• Technical presentation and value‑engineering expertise.
