National Sales Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic National Sales Manager to lead our hotel sales strategy from our Head Office in Parktown, Johannesburg. The role will oversee the sales team across six Orion hotels in South Africa, driving growth, market expansion and strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet company targets.
• Lead, mentor and manage regional sales managers to ensure effective execution.
• Analyse market trends and the competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders to enhance satisfaction and retention.
• Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with overall initiatives.
• Train and develop sales staff, fostering a culture of high performance.
• Conduct regular field visits to understand customer needs and market dynamics.

Required profile

• Proven track record in sales management, preferably within hotels or resorts.
• Strong leadership experience managing high‑performing sales teams.
• Excellent analytical ability to interpret sales data and market research.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Grade 12 or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing or related field preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
