National Head of Facilities

About the role

Set the standards, lead people and build national facilities systems for a fast‑growing multi‑site property portfolio. This newly created senior position oversees facilities, technical infrastructure, security and operational readiness across logistics parks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regional facilities teams and external suppliers covering CCTV, access control, security, maintenance, utilities and compliance.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programmes and ensure accurate reporting and permanent solutions.
• Directly manage IT and networking specifications, scope reviews and sign‑offs.
• Act as second‑in‑command on national operational matters and collaborate with senior leadership on new‑site delivery.
• Travel regularly to Cape Town and Gauteng sites, including Johannesburg, to support operations.

Required profile

• Extensive multi‑site facilities experience in commercial, industrial or logistics property (Matric minimum).
• Strong exposure to IT/networking, CCTV, access‑control systems, OHS, building infrastructure and supplier management.
• Project‑management experience, especially around new‑site or infrastructure delivery, with budgeting and CAPEX responsibilities.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to hold regional teams and suppliers accountable.
• Willingness to travel to Johannesburg a few days each month.
