National Corporate Employer Head

About the role

Lead the national internship programme’s private‑employer application journey, ensuring every host organisation is fully prepared before an intern arrives. You will be the single point of contact for private sector employers, guiding them from initial interest through to a signed, compliant placement agreement.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end employer application process: expression of interest, screening, verification, workplace approval and agreement signing.
• Maintain service standards, provide transparent status updates to employers, and prevent duplicate or missed communications.
• Coordinate with the graduate centre, provincial clusters, payroll, systems teams and external partners to ensure seamless onboarding.
• Verify employer readiness – approved site, assigned mentor, induction plan and payroll setup – and document evidence for audit.
• Ensure compliance with the Workplace‑Based Learning Programme Agreement Regulations, 2018.

Required profile

• NQF Level 7 (Bachelor’s) qualification in business, commerce, HR, public administration or related field (preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in employer engagement, client/account management or programme administration, with at least 3 years at a senior level.
• Proven track record of managing high‑volume application or onboarding processes to published turnaround times.
• Strong compliance discipline and ability to maintain a clean audit trail.
• Excellent written communication skills.
