Multilingual Ethics Hotline Information Agent (Graduate Trainee)

About the role

As a Multilingual Information Agent you will join Whistle Blowers’ 24/7 Ethics Hotline, handling calls from whistleblowers in a variety of languages. You will conduct telephonic interviews, capture detailed reports and ensure the confidentiality of every disclosure.

Key responsibilities

• Answer live calls from whistleblowers around the clock, establishing rapport in the caller’s native language.
• Conduct structured telephonic interviews to gather all relevant facts.
• Draft clear, factual reports that are reviewed through a quality‑control process before forwarding to client representatives.
• Work rotating three‑shift schedules, including night shifts, to keep the Information Centre staffed 24 hours a day.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and at least one of the listed languages (e.g., Afrikaans, Xitsonga, siSwati, Tshivenḓa, isiNdebele, isiZulu, isiXhosa, French, Swahili, etc.).
• Progress towards or completion of a tertiary qualification in criminology, psychology, languages, communication or a related field.
• Strong writing and typing abilities, with excellent listening and analytical skills.
• Impeccable integrity – clean credit and criminal records are mandatory.
