Motor Claims Assessor – Automotive OEM

About the role

Our international automotive OEM client is seeking a Motor Claims Assessor to join the NSO Group Service Department in Kariega, Eastern Cape. The role requires strict adherence to OEM technical standards and a focus on continuous improvement through analysis and escalation of claim and repair anomalies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and validate dealer warranty and maintenance plan claims in line with group brand standards.
• Ensure dealer network compliance with approved warranty policies, technical procedures, and labour time guidelines.
• Monitor and control claim/repair quality and cost through ongoing validation and system‑based corrections.
• Engage proactively with dealers to resolve warranty and maintenance plan matters efficiently.
• Provide guidance and coaching to improve dealer claim/repair quality, accuracy, and policy adherence.
• Support internal stakeholders through reporting, risk identification and audit activities.

Required profile

• Motor Mechanic/Auto Electrician Trade Certificate.
• Master/Diagnostic Technician qualification.
• National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (advantage).
• 5‑10 years VW/Audi brand technical experience and knowledge of auto aftersales service systems.
• Extensive experience in mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis with proven problem‑solving ability.
• Proven experience engaging with dealers and customers in a retail environment.
• Self‑motivated, disciplined, capable of working independently.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and communication skills.
