Mobile Software Developer

About the role

Our client is seeking a Mobile Software Developer to join their R&D team in Johannesburg. The role focuses on building high‑quality cross‑platform applications using Flutter and delivering seamless mobile experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and align on business objectives.
• Design, develop and maintain Flutter‑based mobile applications for Android and iOS.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, scalable code.
• Optimise performance, ensure device compatibility and debug issues.
• Integrate third‑party libraries, RESTful APIs and external services.
• Conduct code reviews and uphold coding standards.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to meet project timelines.
• Stay current with Flutter advancements and mobile development trends.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Flutter developer.
• Strong portfolio of mobile applications built with Flutter.
• Proficiency in Dart and solid understanding of mobile architecture.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and debugging abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
