Mobile Game Unity Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Mobile Game Unity Developer to join our partner’s team in South Africa. You will create and evolve high‑quality mobile games enjoyed by millions worldwide, working across the full development lifecycle from prototype to live operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement gameplay features and systems in Unity for iOS and Android.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, producers and engineers to turn concepts into polished player experiences.
• Write clean, scalable C# code following best‑practice design patterns.
• Profile and optimise performance, resolve crashes and platform‑specific issues.
• Develop UI, animations, visual effects and integrate audio assets.
• Contribute to build pipelines, deployment processes and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and testing to ensure reliable releases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Interactive Media or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional Unity mobile game development, with at least two shipped titles.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Required skills

• Unity engine (UI, animations, prefabs, asset management, audio integration).
• C# programming and object‑oriented design.
• 2D and 3D mobile game development.
• Performance optimisation, profiling tools and debugging.
• Client‑server communication (APIs, WebSockets).
• iOS and Android platform knowledge.
