Mobile Game Developer – Remote (Cocos2d-x)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Mobile Game Developer to join a global software leader on a contract basis. The role focuses on creating and optimizing 2‑D games using the Cocos2d‑x framework for both mobile and web platforms, working remotely from anywhere.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain game features using Cocos2d‑x and C++.
• Optimize performance to ensure smooth gameplay across a range of devices.
• Debug and resolve issues related to game logic, rendering, and physics.
• Collaborate with designers to integrate art assets and animations.
• Write unit tests and follow best coding practices to maintain code quality.

Required profile

• Proficiency with Cocos2d‑x and C++ for game development.
• Experience in game physics, collision detection and rendering techniques.
• Familiarity with mobile platform constraints and optimization strategies.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and communicate effectively with a distributed team.
