About the role
The Capital Hotels is hiring a Mixologist / Barman for its hotel in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The mixologist mixes and serves alcoholic, non-alcoholic and coffee products to guests and service staff in a friendly, fast and efficient way. The role focuses mainly on two areas: front of house service and stock.
Key responsibilities
- Mix and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic and coffee products to guests and service staff
- Work in the front of house and stock areas of the bar
- Communicate effectively with hotel staff and guests
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12)
- 1 to 2 years of barman experience
- Good all-round bar skills, including making cocktails and special drinks
- Problem-solving approach and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
- Honest, trustworthy, presentable and well spoken
- Proactive, with good interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Required skills
- Cocktail and drink preparation
- Proficiency in an HMS system (Protel is an advantage)
Note: relocation costs are at your own expense if you live outside the city where the hotel is located.
