Millwright – Plant Maintenance & Mechanical Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Millwright to ensure the efficiency of plant maintenance in a fast‑moving consumer goods manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will read diagrams and schematics, diagnose faults, and carry out mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Dismantle, fit and assemble machinery and components.
• Execute pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical repairs.
• Perform planned maintenance on a variety of equipment.
• Inspect, test, and repair MCCs, circuits, wiring systems and other electrical equipment.
• Use and troubleshoot PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) circuits.
• Install and commission new machinery and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe and environmentally compliant work area.

Required profile

• Matric/N3 qualification with completed Millwright trade.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably FMCG.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
