Millwright

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Millwright to ensure the efficiency of plant maintenance in a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will interpret technical diagrams, diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Dismantle, fit and assemble machinery and components.
• Execute pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical repairs.
• Perform planned maintenance on a variety of equipment.
• Fit, inspect, test and repair motor control centre (MCC) circuits, wiring systems and other electrical equipment.
• Conduct fault finding on programmable logic controller (PLC) circuits.
• Install and commission new machinery and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area.

Required profile

• Matric/N3 qualification with a completed Millwright trade certification.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
