Merchandiser – Weskus Mall (Vredenburg)

About the role

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a Merchandiser to join the Weskus Mall store in Vredenburg. You will be responsible for maintaining Dis‑Chem merchandising standards, ensuring shelves are fully stocked and presented, and delivering excellent customer service in a high‑traffic retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Restock merchandise to maximise sales and ensure full product range is always available.
• Store and pack delivered stock correctly and promptly, adhering to FIFO rotation.
• Monitor sell‑by dates, report low or damaged stock, and assist with stocktaking.
• Maintain planograms, labels and pricing, and report any discrepancies.
• Build and maintain merchandising displays, flatten boxes, and keep the shop floor tidy.
• Provide friendly, helpful assistance to customers and resolve out‑of‑stock queries.
• Assist with loading/unloading stock, back‑shopping and training new staff.
• Follow all Dis‑Chem policies, SOPs, health and safety rules, and wear the correct uniform and badge.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Up to 6 months retail experience (advantageous: at least 1 year).
• Computer literate – proficient with MS Office.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.
• Strong command of English; presentable and trustworthy.
• Time‑management skills; bilingual ability is a plus.
