Merchandise Planner – Jewellery Brand

About the role

TFG Jewellery is looking for a Planner who influences and implements the brand's merchandise strategy. The role covers the financial and strategic side of products, including product planning, open-to-buy control and figure reviews, and works closely with the buying team to maximise sales and optimise stock.

Key responsibilities

• Influence and implement the brand's merchandise strategy
• Work with the buying team to maximise sales, analyse performance and optimise product stock levels
• Manage product planning, open-to-buy and review weekly and monthly figures
• Manage range assortments and replenishment
• Implement the distribution strategy, analysing store profiles and sales trends and developing promotional and range distribution by store and cluster
• Partner with internal buying and operational stakeholders and communicate with stores and field teams

Required profile

• Degree or diploma completed in a related field
• At least 3 years of experience as a Planner
• Strong understanding of customer demographics and in-depth knowledge of the retail planning process
• Preference, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups under the Employment Equity Act
