Meeting & Events Coordinator (Cape Town)

About the role

The Meeting & Events Coordinator will act as the primary host for groups arriving at the Cape Town Marriott Hotel Crystal Towers, ensuring seamless execution of banquets, conferences and special events. You will liaise with clients, internal teams and service providers to deliver high‑quality experiences that reflect the hotel’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with group coordinators/hosts before events to confirm details and make introductions.
• Read and analyse Banquet Event Orders to determine set‑up, timelines, guest requirements, buffets and action stations.
• Coordinate special arrangements, follow up on compliance and adjust plans as needed.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs and provide courteous, professional assistance throughout their stay.
• Answer telephone enquiries using proper etiquette and maintain clear communication with all departments.
• Adhere to company safety, security and confidentiality policies, reporting incidents promptly.
• Perform physical duties such as lifting up to 25 lb, moving equipment, and navigating service areas.
