Medical Receptionist – Pediatric Practice in Bryanston

About the role

We are looking for a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join a busy paediatric practice in Bryanston, Johannesburg. The role combines front‑desk duties with personal assistant support for the doctor, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent patient service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients in a friendly, professional manner.
• Manage the reception area, answer incoming calls, emails and patient enquiries.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate the doctor’s diary.
• Respond promptly to WhatsApp and other patient communications.
• Maintain accurate patient records, scan, file and distribute documentation.
• Monitor and order office stationery and practice supplies.
• Provide personal assistant support to the doctor, including errands, collections and deliveries.
• Prepare correspondence, reports and practice documentation.
• Assist with diary management and administrative follow‑ups.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Previous experience in reception, administration, customer service or as a personal assistant (medical practice experience advantageous).
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to run practice‑related errands when required.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within a specialist medical environment.
