Medical Partner

About the role

Roche Pharma in Midrand is looking for a Medical Partner to act as a trusted, scientifically‑grounded collaborator within its customer‑engagement model. The role will drive local and cross‑country medical activities, accelerate the pipeline and help secure earlier, broader patient access to innovative therapies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the medical component of the integrated strategy and shape a differentiated value story locally.
• Serve as primary contact for external stakeholders, building peer‑to‑peer relationships with Therapeutic Area Experts.
• Gather, analyse and translate clinical practice and patient insights into actionable recommendations.
• Design and execute local Integrated Evidence Plans, including Real‑World Evidence studies and Investigator‑Initiated Studies.
• Contribute scientific expertise to Health Technology Assessment submissions and support HTA value articulation.
• Partner with Clinical Operations, Regulatory and Legal teams to support Phase I‑IV clinical trials and faster product licensing.
• Ensure all medical activities comply with company policies, local regulations and Good Clinical Practice standards.

Required profile

• Self‑directed professional with a growth mindset and strong integrity.
• Ability to navigate dynamic environments and unite cross‑functional teams.
• Completed higher degree in Medicine, Pharmacy or related scientific discipline.

Required skills

• Experience with Real‑World Evidence (RWE) generation.
• Knowledge of Investigator‑Initiated Studies (IIS) processes.
• Familiarity with Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions.
• Understanding of clinical trial phases I‑IV and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
