Medical Office Manager

About the role

IntelliBPO is seeking a driven Medical Office Manager to lead operations for a medical pharmacy wholesaler in Johannesburg. The role involves overseeing a high‑volume environment, managing teams and ensuring service delivery aligns with client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a cross‑functional team covering operations, administration and support.
• Manage attendance, scheduling and workforce planning to match UK business hours.
• Oversee end‑to‑end operational workflows for the pharmacy wholesaler, ensuring SLAs, KPIs and turnaround times are met.
• Identify bottlenecks, implement process improvements and maintain SOPs.
• Act as the primary operational contact for the client, providing regular performance reporting.
• Track and analyse key metrics such as productivity, quality, turnaround times and attendance.
• Drive quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement programs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operations or team management within BPO, logistics, admin‑heavy or similar environments.
• Strong leadership, people‑management and performance‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work the stated hours of 10 am – 7 pm SAST.
• Excellent organisational, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
