About the role
The Mechanical Foreman will lead the repair and maintenance of vehicles, plant, machinery and horticultural equipment within the Parks, Leisure and Cemeteries division.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and control repairs and maintenance of vehicles, small plant, machinery and agriculture/horticulture equipment.
- Oversee the spares and materials store functions.
- Administer, supervise and train allocated staff.
- Perform line function administration and financial controls.
- Ensure health and safety of staff and the public.
Required profile
- Trade‑tested Artisan in petrol and/or diesel or earth‑moving equipment.
- Valid motor vehicle driving licence (Code EC) and Professional Driver’s Permit (PrDP).
- At least 4 years relevant post‑apprenticeship experience.
- Computer literacy.
