Marketing & Design Manager

About the role

Lesaka Utilities is seeking a creative, commercially‑minded Marketing & Design Manager to lead the visual identity and marketing output of the Recharger brand. The role combines hands‑on graphic design with team leadership and supplier management to ensure all communications support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver graphics for print, digital, social media, web, packaging, signage and point‑of‑sale materials.
• Translate commercial briefs into clear creative concepts, prepare print‑ready and digital files, and maintain an organized artwork library.
• Maintain and enforce the Recharger brand guidelines, reviewing all internal and external material before release.
• Manage relationships with printers, signage makers, promotional‑item suppliers and agencies, handling quotations, orders and quality checks.
• Oversee the marketing budget, consumables stock and procurement processes.
• Allocate work, set priorities, review output for quality and brand compliance, and conduct performance reviews with the People team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or national diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing or related field (NQF level 6+).
• Minimum 5 years of graphic design experience in a marketing or corporate environment with a strong portfolio.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role leading a creative or marketing team.
• Proven experience managing corporate identity and brand guidelines.
• Hands‑on experience sourcing and managing print, signage and promotional‑material suppliers.
• Experience in fintech, prepaid, retail or utilities marketing is an advantage.

• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Figma or similar design tool
• Basic video or motion editing
• Print production, colour management and file preparation knowledge
• Digital and social media design, including web banner and email formats
• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for budgeting and reporting
