Marketing & Communications Manager

About the role

Sandvik Rock Processing is seeking an experienced Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the sales area for Africa. Reporting to the Vice President Sales Area Africa, the role is based in Kempton Park, Johannesburg and focuses on driving growth, market share and brand reputation across the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Implement global and regional marketing strategies for the African sales area.
• Develop and execute a dedicated sales‑area marketing plan, ensuring brand compliance.
• Manage editorial content, case studies and customer stories to enhance brand image.
• Plan, coordinate and represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, conferences and trade shows.
• Oversee media relations, trade publications and promotional campaigns.
• Collaborate with divisional marketing teams and regional sales management to launch campaigns that drive revenue.
• Control the marketing budget and monitor spend against approvals.
• Manage external agencies, photographers, videographers, media partners and event organisers.
• Develop internal communication strategies to support employee engagement and organisational culture.
• Create and distribute internal communications across appropriate channels.

Required profile

• Proven experience in marketing and communications, preferably within industrial or mining sectors.
• Strong ability to translate global strategies into local actions.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Experience managing budgets and external service providers.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
