Marketing and Business Development Manager (Events)

About the role

This position leads the marketing and business development function for an expanding events business. You will shape strategy, strengthen brand presence, and generate new revenue streams while working closely with the owners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated marketing and business development plans.
• Manage social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) and create engaging content.
• Produce LinkedIn articles, company updates, and thought‑leadership pieces.
• Run digital campaigns, monitor performance and optimise results.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach and networking.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, venues, agencies and event planners.
• Attend prospect meetings and represent the company with strategic partners.
• Coordinate content creation teams and videographers during major events.
• Analyse campaign data and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, business development or a similar role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships and generate new business.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport.
• Based in Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand, Johannesburg or surrounding areas.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
