Manufacturing Site Manager (Operations, Maintenance & Engineering)

About the role

Addiction Foods NZ is seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Site Manager to lead its pet‑food plant in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty. This senior position reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for overall site performance, safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the manufacturing roadmap to meet domestic and export demand, including capacity planning and throughput improvement.
• Oversee quality, OEE, yield improvement and food‑safety compliance with New Zealand regulations.
• Partner with engineering and maintenance to enhance equipment reliability, reduce unplanned downtime and support CAPEX and TPM initiatives.
• Collaborate with EHS to strengthen safety culture, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Manage plant operating costs across labour, utilities, raw‑material variance and maintenance.
• Develop a high‑performance site culture through leadership, coaching, training and staff engagement.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience in food, FMCG, dairy, pet‑food or similar high‑hygiene environments.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams (production, QA, engineering, maintenance).
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on operational discipline and continuous improvement.

• OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) monitoring and improvement.
• CAPEX planning and execution.
• TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) methodology.
• Food‑safety compliance and regulatory knowledge.
