Managing Director, Africa

About the role

As Managing Director, Africa you will lead the ESCO Division’s commercial and operational performance across the continent. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Sales, you will own the full P&L and drive growth through strategic leadership of sales, fabrication and service operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to increase market share across Africa.
• Lead high‑performing teams, fostering a culture of performance, coaching and collaboration.
• Position ESCO strategically by monitoring market trends, legislative changes and customer needs.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial performance to ensure commercial excellence.
• Champion safety initiatives and uphold zero‑harm behaviours.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead commercial and operational functions with full P&L responsibility.
• Experience in expanding market presence through both direct and distributor channels.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with existing and new industry partners.
• Track record of driving innovation and delivering competitive advantage.
