Manager, Security Compliance and Governance

About the role

MTN is seeking a Manager of Security Compliance and Governance to lead the information security risk and compliance posture for its Fintech division. You will work across multiple countries to ensure the implementation of robust security policies and controls that meet regulatory and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, govern, and assure the Group Fintech information security risk and compliance posture in line with MTN Group Information Security (GIS) and regulatory obligations.
• Provide governance leadership to ensure consistent implementation of security policies and minimum controls across Group Fintech and operating companies.
• Enable regulatory confidence, audit assurance, and risk transparency through effective security governance.

Required profile

• 4‑year degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• Relevant IT security certification (CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CEH or GIAC).
• 5‑6 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in Fintech or banking cyber security.
• Experience in information security governance, enterprise risk management and compliance.
• Hands‑on experience implementing innovative security solutions in a multi‑country environment.
• Deep understanding of the Fintech ecosystem and best practices in the financial sector.
• Background in medium to large organisations.
