Manager: Logistics, Contract and Asset Management

About the role

The Manager of Logistics, Contract and Asset Management will lead the end‑to‑end supply chain processes for a public‑sector client. You will be responsible for overseeing contract administration, logistics operations, and asset lifecycle management to ensure compliance, efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the contract database, approve contract details, and monitor service level agreements.
• Oversee bid adjudication, ensure compliance with public procurement legislation (PFMA, PPPFA, Treasury Regulations).
• Manage procurement of stock, inventory levels, warehouse operations, transport, accommodation and travel arrangements.
• Supervise the asset register, verify asset lifespans, plan replacements and coordinate disposal of obsolete assets.
• Analyse vendor performance, negotiate terms and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Required profile

• Minimum NQF Level 7 qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Public Finance or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement or acquisition, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or junior‑management role.
• Strong knowledge of public‑sector procurement legislation and supply chain policies.
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
