Major Account Manager – Financial Services – SADC

About the role

The Major Account Manager partners with customers to secure their entire digital experience, driving revenue and growth for Palo Alto Networks. You will lead complex sales engagements and act as a trusted advisor throughout the threat‑prevention lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and orchestrate large, complex sales cycles while collaborating with internal partners.
• Identify business challenges through consultative selling and propose tailored solutions.
• Understand the competitive landscape and position Palo Alto Networks’ portfolio effectively.
• Create clear goals, develop detailed territory plans, and provide accurate forecasting.
• Leverage prospect stories to craft compelling, account‑specific value propositions.
• Stay current on industry news and trends that impact product positioning.
• Travel within the territory and attend company‑wide meetings as needed.

Required profile

• Experience with SaaS‑based architectures, preferably in networking or security.
• Proven track record selling complex, value‑based solutions.
• Technical aptitude to understand how technology solves business problems.
• Ability to diagnose problems, analyze data, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with channel partners for a go‑to‑market approach.
• Deep knowledge of the full sales cycle and structured sales processes.
• Holistic problem‑solving mindset and excellent time‑management skills.
