Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Production department at Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join the team in Lakeside. You will be responsible for keeping plant equipment running efficiently through both mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and repair mechanical and electrical faults on production equipment.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks according to schedule.
• Conduct equipment inspections and condition monitoring to anticipate failures.
• Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log work orders and track maintenance history.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and OEM documentation to guide repairs.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards during all maintenance activities.
• Support root‑cause analysis investigations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance within an industrial setting.
• Ability to work safely and follow strict compliance procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and willingness to participate in improvement projects.
