About the role

The Maintenance Manager will oversee all maintenance activities for a property development and management group in Auckland Park, Johannesburg. The role ensures equipment reliability, compliance with safety standards, and efficient execution of preventative and corrective tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain equipment and machinery across the assigned business unit.
• Complete scheduled maintenance tasks and address building‑related issues within defined timeframes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance according to published schedules.
• Track expenses, manage the maintenance budget, and report daily progress.
• Supervise cleaning, security, garden services, contracted services, and on‑site contract execution.
• Coordinate monthly contractor meetings, document outcomes, and ensure timely, quality work.
• Maintain common areas, tenant rooms, and ensure compliance with hygiene inspection protocols.
• Execute life‑cycle maintenance programmes and act as custodian of facility standards.
