Maintenance Coordinator – Packhouse (Piketberg)

About the role

Our client, a leading grower, packer and exporter of citrus fruit and table grapes, is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for their packhouse near Piketberg. Reporting to the Packhouse Manager, you will ensure all equipment and facilities operate safely and efficiently in a fast‑paced, 24‑hour environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule maintenance staff within the packhouse.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment and building systems.
• Conduct daily inspections and promptly report and repair breakdowns.
• Maintain general building upkeep and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Oversee storage and handling processes for table grapes and citrus.

Required profile

• Post‑matric qualification: N3 Fitter or electrician, or NQF4 Fitter or electrician.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a similar maintenance coordination role.
• Willingness to work irregular, night‑shift and extended hours as required by the packing industry.
• Experience with cold‑room maintenance is an advantage.
