About the role
We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities on the production floor. The role involves assisting with repairs, breakdowns, and routine inspections to keep machinery running efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with electrical and mechanical repairs and breakdowns.
- Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes.
- Service and maintain production machinery.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections.
- Assist with mould changes, tooling set‑ups, and related repairs.
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Required profile
- Grade 12 / Matric / Senior Certificate.
- N2 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
