Logistics Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team at our Alrode office. In this fast‑paced position you will support daily transport and logistics operations, ensuring vehicles, drivers and loads are scheduled efficiently and customers receive timely updates.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport schedules by allocating vehicles, drivers and loads to meet operational requirements and delivery deadlines, including booking trucks with customers.
• Monitor vehicle movements via tracking systems and report delays, breakdowns, route deviations or delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate operational records in transport management systems, covering load status, driver information, customer details and fleet data.
• Assist with fleet and driver administration on customer portals and manage driver induction for site access.
• Handle customer and driver queries professionally, providing shipment updates and escalating issues when necessary.
• Compile and submit daily and weekly operational reports on deliveries, vehicle utilisation, transport performance and outstanding documentation.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
• Diploma or certificate in Logistics, Transport Management or Administration (advantageous).
• 1–2 years of experience in transport, logistics, fleet administration or operations support.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced operational environment.
