Lodge Housekeeper

About the role

Gallo Manor Lodge is looking for a clean, smart, trustworthy, hardworking, reliable, friendly and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join its lodge team. The role covers housekeeping, front office assistance and food and beverage support, and requires living on site in single accommodation provided at the premises.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, showers and toilets, make beds, change bed linen and towels, sweep and mop floors, dust furniture and clean mirrors and surfaces.
• Keep reception, lounges, passages and other common areas clean and tidy.
• Collect, wash, dry, fold and store laundry, and replenish guest amenities and toiletries.
• Report damaged items, maintenance issues and shortages, and hand in to management any guest property left behind.
• Ensure rooms are locked and windows closed before leaving, and clean windows and look after indoor plants.
• Welcome guests, assist with check-in and luggage, and respond politely to requests.
• Prepare and serve breakfasts and meals, and sell and serve beverages while recording sales in the sales book.

Required profile

• Willingness to live on site; previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is a definite advantage.
• Good communication and customer service skills, and a clean, friendly, presentable and welcoming personality.
• Respectful, honest, trustworthy, punctual and hardworking.
• Ability to prepare and serve breakfast, good attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
