About the role
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary for a small BEE‑owned law firm in Lynnwood, Pretoria. The role involves preparing and typing High Court and Magistrate’s Court litigation documents, drafting legal paperwork, and liaising with clients in both Afrikaans and English.
Key responsibilities
- Type High Court and Magistrate’s Court litigation documents, notices and pleadings.
- Draft legal documents and communicate with clients in Afrikaans and English.
- Perform dictaphone transcription and ensure accurate, speedy typing.
- Handle general secretarial and administrative duties for the firm.
Required profile
- Presentable, professional female candidate.
- Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
- Minimum two years recent experience in general/civil litigation at a law firm.
- Computer literate with MS Word, MS Excel, Caselines and Court Online.
- Stable employment record with verifiable references.
- Resides in Pretoria within commuting distance to Lynnwood and can start immediately.
