About the role
The firm is seeking a Junior Attorney based in Colbyn, Pretoria to support general litigation and debt‑collection matters. The role involves court appearances, drafting legal documents and managing a high volume of cases. Fluency in both Afrikaans and English is essential to serve the client base.
Key responsibilities
- Handle general litigation matters and debt‑collection for the law firm.
- Compile legal documents, correspondence and court filings.
- Perform general attorney duties, including client liaison.
- Appear in Magistrate’s Court on behalf of clients.
Required profile
- Presentable and professional demeanor.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (first and second languages).
- LLB degree completed and admitted as an Attorney.
- 1‑3 years post‑admission experience in general litigation and Magistrate’s Court.
- Debt‑collection experience is advantageous.
- Ability to manage large volumes of work accurately.
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle; resident within commuting distance of Colbyn.
- Stable employment record with contactable references.
