Litigation Executive

About the role

The Litigation Executive will manage a litigated caseload, supporting other Litigation Executives and Claims Handlers. This position offers the chance to deepen expertise in civil litigation while interacting with solicitors, insurers, and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Draft legal documents, applications, offers, orders and directions.
• Attend telephone conferences and manage cases in line with service level agreements.
• Review quantum, assess damages and formalise case plans.
• Conduct telephone negotiations and liaise with third‑party solicitors, insurers and lay clients.
• Manage client expectations professionally and develop clear action plans to meet targets.

Required profile

• LLB degree (essential).
• Minimum six months’ legal experience as an admitted attorney or candidate attorney.
• Experience in civil litigation; experience in motor vehicle accidents, RAF claims, third‑party claims, contract law and insurance work is advantageous.
• Enthusiastic, self‑motivated and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

What we offer

• Competitive salary of R12,000 per month.
• Working hours: 09:00‑18:00 or 10:00‑19:00.
• On‑site work at our Umhlanga Ridge office.
