Litigation Claims Consultant – Pretoria

About the role

An established legal services organisation is seeking a Litigation Claims Consultant to join its Litigation Department in Pretoria. The role is designed for an admitted Attorney or Advocate with litigation experience who can manage claims from assessment through to finalisation while delivering high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, manage and coordinate litigation claims from inception to finalisation.
• Draft and submit claims to the Merit Assessment Committee and prepare legal cases on the Lawyerly platform.
• Handle civil, criminal, family, and labour law matters, allocating cases to accredited panel attorneys.
• Conduct monthly case management, monitor litigation progress and verify policy payment histories.
• Ensure compliance with South African law, internal policies and quality standards.
• Manage service‑provider relationships, monitor legal invoices and maintain accurate communication with policyholders, panel attorneys and internal stakeholders.
• Use the Telviva system for call handling and identity verification.

Required profile

• LLB degree and admission as an Attorney or Advocate.
• Minimum of one year of litigation experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak two official South African languages.
• Strong computer literacy and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professionalism, initiative, integrity and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
